RedNotebook is a free graphical diary that will help you keep track of your daily activities or thoughts. Besides keeping them saved, you can also tag them and search them in your own way.

This free desktop journal program has plenty of features that will keep you from searching for any other program of this category. You can enter text for any individual day like a personal diary and then navigate between days using a beautifully designed calendar. If you think you will need to search for the days notes later on, you can tag them. You can also assign those days to categories for easy navigation. Besides adding texts, you can also add images, files or links to other websites. The links to websites and the email addresses will be automatically recognized. You will not have to worry about saving your text every once in a while because all your notes are saved automatically. You can backup your diary to a zip file or you can also export your journal to PDF, TXT or HTML format. This free digital journal is available in 16 languages. RedNotebook also supports markup highlighting. If you are switching between too many devices, you can save journals to a remote server like FTP or WebDAV.

You will be able to start writing just after you pick a date from the calendar. Then you will have to select some tags and assign the note to a category. After writing for days, you can browse your notes using the calendar.
