Although many things such as emotion and thought may be difficult to measure, some things are much easier to quantitize. This does not mean that a tool such as Measurement Converter is entirely useless. Inquiring minds often pose questions that can only be answered by converting one measurement to another. I once heard of a rocket that did not make it into orbit simply because the programmers forgot to convert feet to meters. Of course that is just hearsay. If it were true, however unlikely, then I would be inclined to reason that a tool such as Measurement Converter may have proved quite useful.
