For example, suppose you have PCs A, B and C, and PC A is acting as server. You write your server code such that it listens for incoming connections. When PC B connects, it stores this connection object in a list, and loops around and waits for another connection. When PC C connects, it does the same. When PC B sends a message to the server, you could write code to forward the message to all connected PCs in the list. This is only one scenario.
