Unlike other action games which merely involve finding buttons and keys to unlock doors, certain exits in Lion Land can only be unlocked by specific gems. These special gems can only be created by merging the correct gems. Since Sammy can only carry one gem at a time, players must plan the order in which they collect and merge the gems.
