    Great component. Perhaps an updated version could also have a search function and maybe improved styling (eg. software titles in different colour etc..) though as the list can get quite confusing for some site visitors.

    Nevertheless, a brilliant component thanks.

    How do I get support for the component.

    I am sure that it is a very good component and I am looking forward to using it but at the moment I cannot get it to work.

    I have installed the component but when I go to the softwareshop back end it has the error: -
    Can’t read from remote server… Please check your “allow_url_fopen” directive in php.ini. It must be set to “On”

    I have confirmed that allow_url_fopen is set to on.

    Other than that I am not sure what to do to get the component working.

    I have had a download_3000 component instaled for one year in my Joomls 1.0.15. In august this year my Internet Service Provider did not alow the PHP setting “allow_url_fopen” directive in php.ini to be set to “On” anymore as he said “cause sequrity reasons”

    So from my official site at the ISP server I am now linking to my own PC which is up always (24/7) with a copy of the other site but with the download_3000 component installed. That work fine for me, but it is a bit clumpsy.

    Tried to install the com_softshop.zip for Joomla 1.5.x at my ISP web hotel who have “allow_url_fopen” directive in php.ini to be set to “On”. That does not work eather even if it is another Internet Service Provider. So I still link to my private PC which have a WAMP5 1.6.6 installed (works fine)

    Maybe they do not like the multible file exensions, which maybe have that consequence that the upload does not success becaus of a spy filter ??
